Welcome to South Carolina! Play as the stunning and historic Palmetto State.

Leader: John Rutledge, Founding Father, First (or 31st) Governor of South Carolina

UA: "Palmetto State"; Units require 30% less experience to promote and retain 30% of luxury good happiness if your last copy is traded away.

UB: Port of Charleston; Special National Wonder replacing East India Company. Get +2 extra gold for incoming trade routes while other players get +6. Allows trading of Food and Production if not already enabled in this city.

UI: Indigo Plantation; Build a plantation and receive a free resource of Indigo (Dye).

UI: Rice Plantation; Build a rice plantation to earn a Rice bonus resource.

UR: South Carolina comes with a unique bonus resource, Rice! It provides extra food.

Absolutely stunning! I highly suggest this alongside downloading Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi to live out perhaps John C. Calhoun's fantasy of creating a greater Carolina united under the Palmetto flag. 10/10. This is what the Civ V modding community has been missing...

Actually, correction: The rice plantation seems to work on marsh (it deletes the marsh and afterwards the 2f grassland tile is now 5f/1p/1g) but on floodplains it deletes them also, leaving the underneath tile bare desert, so it has 3f/1p/1g.

Not sure if this is intended but when the indigo plantation is done being built, its replaced by a regular dyes + plantaton tile. It doesn't give the yields that the "indigo plantation" improvement seems to (notably there is no production). This doesn't happen with the rice plantation, which seems to go as intended
