⋆ Before you go berserker on me for not recommending your favorite abilities or boost cards, please do know that this is only my opinion and it will differ from yours.



⋆ I am an amateur and this was made just for sharing my knowledge and helping new players improve their gameplay. If you would like to make an recommendation or suggestion, do it in the comments like a gentleman.
Overview
⋆ Fast and extremely effective at short and medium range with 150 health points, this class can forcefully push themselves through enemy lines and clear a path for their allies. Their unique Ability Card is Assault Training, which gives health for each defeated enemy. The Assault class uses blaster rifles that are unlocked by completing their respective milestones.



⋆ One of the Assault's default abilities is Vanguard. When this ability is activated, the player will pull out a flechette-firing shotgun that fires a buckshot of high-damage shrapnel, making it very deadly at close range. The player will also gain an increase in movement speed.



⋆ The Vanguard flechette gun can two-shot kill most enemies at closer ranges and can even one-shot kill if an enemy is close enough. It can win most one on one fights if the user can land a successful hit, but missing shots is very punishing and can leave the player vulnerable until the next shot is loaded.

⋆ The A280 is a well-balanced and versatile blaster. It fires in three-blast bursts, which make the weapon more accurate, but limits the overall rate of fire of the weapon.

⋆ While it does not perform as well in close or long range as other blasters, it can still hold its own at any range and can excel in medium range combat. Modifications can be equipped to improve the blaster's performance.


CR-2


⠀⠀"Small and agile blaster with extreme rate of fire often wielded by the Naboo security forces."



⋆ The CR-2 is a fully automatic blaster with a very fast rate of fire compared to most other weapons for the Assault class, making it effective at close-to-medium range. It has the fastest rate of fire of any blaster. However, the CR-2 suffers from very rapid damage fall off, causing it to quickly lose its effectiveness at longer ranges.

⋆ Overall, the CR-2 is well-suited for close-range shootouts and indoor fighting but becomes much weaker in outdoor areas. Compared to the default blasters available to the Assault class, the CR-2 is less versatile and much more situational, sacrificing long range accuracy for greater close range power. The CR-2 is ideal for close-quarter style maps, such as Death Star II, Yavin 4, and the later stages of Starkiller Base.


EL-16HFE


⠀⠀"Steady, sturdy, and built for medium to long-range combat distances, the EL-16HFE was the ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀preferred blaster rifle among fighters with the Resistance."



⋆ The EL-16HFE sacrificing some of its rate of fire and magazine size in exchange for higher damage and a longer effective range.

⋆ The EL-16HFE fares best in mid-to-long-range engagements, with its high damage, good range and low recoil all catering into its intended role as a marksman's rifle for the Assault class. The high damage coupled with the good range allows it to reach out and dispatch an opponent up to an impressive distance away while the slow rate of fire helps to keep the recoil under control and make the weapon more accurate.

⋆ That being said, this also plays into the EL-16HFE's downsides; the slow rate of fire and low magazine size means that the EL-16HFE does not fare very well at close range, where it will likely find itself being outcompeted by Blaster Pistols and the CR-2.

⋆ In the transitional zone between mid- and long-range, however, is where the EL-16HFE truly shines. It will have the benefit of having superior accuracy and damage over most Assault and Heavy weapons while being faster-firing and having more shots available than most Specialist weapons. By playing conservatively and trying to engage the enemy from a safe distance with one's sights up and ready (frankly, like a Specialist would) will yield the greatest benefit.

⋆ Past the transitional zone, at true long ranges, will likely see the EL-16HFE begin to lose some of its effectiveness, with dedicated Specialist weapons beginning to dominate the stage with their superior range and damage potentials.


E-11D


⠀⠀"Manufactured for precision and reliability, the E-11D was the primary blaster of Imperial death ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀troopers.



⋆ The weapon statistics for the E-11D are identical to that of the default Assault blasters, such as the E-11. But, unlike the Assault's default blasters, the E-11D has some modifications to help improve its base statistics.

  • Players can reduce the weapon's recoil with the Reduced Recoil modification,

  • Players can more effectively see enemies in dark environments with the Flashlight modification.

  • Players can with the weapon's Improved Range modification, unlocked after eliminating 100 enemies with the weapon, increases the minimum damage of the E-11D at long ranges from 20 to 25. It also increases the weapon's damage drop-off range from 40 meters to 50 meters. This means that the weapon will not deal its minimum damage of 25 until an enemy is at least 50 meters away.

⋆ The E-11D has a medium rate of fire, so it is most effective at medium- to long-range. The Improved Range modification helps to make the weapon more effective at longer ranges, but it will still take around 8 shots to eliminate an enemy that is at least 50 meters away. Without the mod, it would take 10 shots to eliminate an enemy starting at 40 meters.

Assault Training

⋆ Assault Training shines when the player is at low health and is surrounded by enemies. With this card, players can take on multiple enemies at once and not lose too much health during the gunfight.

⋆ The player should try to find cover even with this card on them as they can still be killed by multiple enemies before the player can get a kill and gain back some health.

Survivalist

⋆ Your health regeneration delay is shorter than normal.

⋆ Once this Star Card reaches its max level, you gain increased survivability in combat since you gain the ability to recover health by killing opponents and if the situation brings you close to death, retreating behind cover to regenerate your health is more beneficial since the greatly reduced Health regeneration delay allows you to recover faster and get back into combat quicker, allowing you to keep up pressure on your enemies.⠀⠀⠀⠀


Resourceful


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "All of your abilities have shorter recharge times."


⋆ Resourceful is great for players who prefer both a run-and-gun play style and those fond of securing tightly guarded objectives.

⋆ The card allows for quicker recharge times for abilities such as grenades and Sentry, which can be particularly useful for clearing out choke points.

Improved Thermal Detonator

⋆ Improved Thermal Detonator is great for just about any situation and a fine addition to any player's arsenal, both experienced and otherwise.

⋆ With its increased blast radius and shorter recharge time, this card can allow for several multi-eliminations in one game, particularly in populated choke-points and close-quarters areas.

Toughen Up


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "Regenerate your health while this ability is active."


⋆ Toughen Up is the ideal card for a run-and-gun play-style.

⋆ It's increased rate of health regeneration while active allows the player to take breaks from the action far less and as such increases their time spent fighting enemies.

Smart Ion Grenade


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "This Ion Grenade automatically detonates near enemy shields and vehicles, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀dealing heavy damage to them."


⋆ Smart Ion Grenade is viable both in large modes with vehicles present and smaller infantry-centered modes.

⋆ Aside from its more obvious strengths, the card also deals a decent amount of damage to regular enemy troopers and as such is useful in compact areas

Slug Vanguard


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "An improved version of Vanguard with a single slug for improved accuracy and ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀damage."


⋆ Slug Vanguard is an Ability Card available to the Assault class at Level 30. The card swaps out the default Vanguard ability's shrapnel shot for a single slug, granting increased range and accuracy at the cost of reduced close-range power.

⋆ Although its close-range power is reduced, Slug Vanguard still performs best at close range as it can be quite tricky to land a shot at longer ranges.

Builds (Top 3)
Tank Build


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "Focused on survivability and an aggressive playstyle"

⋆ If you like going for a kill streaks or you find yourself unable to survive, this build is for you. This will allow you to get up in people face and quickly deal damage. Try getting in 1 vs. 1 fights and you will win almost any fight. Almost.

  • Assault Training: Gives a small amount of health for each defeated enemy.

  • Survivalist: Lets you quickly get back into the fight even after the most serious of injuries. Your health regeneration delay is shorter than normal.

  • Toughen Up: Regenerates your health while this ability is active.



Objective Build


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "Focuses on playing the objective"


⋆ For those who love playing the objective and helping in any way your team to win.

  • Bodyguard: It only activates at critical health which is 30% or less. For the Heavy that's 60 health and everyone else it's 45. I'm not sure what the damage reduction that you receive is, but when you're that low on health even a 50% reduction won't do much to help save your life. It will not be granting Explosive damage reduction anymore. The Bodyguard Star Card has been redesigned to give normal damage reduction while you are at critical health (below 30%).

    ⠀⠀After recent changes, the card has become inferior option for some, meaning you might want ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀to experiment with something different in this slot.

  • Toughen Up: Regenerates your health while this ability is active or Improved Scan Dart which allows Scan Dart to stay active for longer, revealing enemy locations.

  • Acid Launcher: Fires canisters which administer a powerful acid that deals damage over time or Improved Thermal Detonator: A larger blast radius and shorter recharge time or Smart Ion Grenade: Automatically detonates near enemy shields and vehicles, dealing heavy damage to them.

Battlepoint Build


⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "Focuses on earning battlepoints as fast as possiable"

⋆ If you are trying to get first to a certain vehicle or heroes, or even save points until the end of the game when the match is at it's peaking point.

  • Bounty Hunter: Gain Battle Points at an increased rate.

  • Improved Scan Dart: Allows Scan Dart to stay active for longer, revealing enemy locations.

  • Acid Launcher: Fires canisters which administer a powerful acid that deals damage over time to the enemies.

⋆ I strongly encourage you to try every ability, weapon and boost cars for yourself. Not only will you enjoy the variety that is presented, but also have fun while doing so. Finally, by experimenting with different loadouts you will find out for yourself the most effective one that suits your playstyle and ultimately the loadout that will become your favorite.
