Prospecting Vessel PV-3 "Neikea"

Description
===========================================================================

The Discordian Offworld Systems(DOS) Prospecting Vessel PV-3 "Neikea" is designed to operate as an autonomous base of operations for mining, prospecting and salvaging in remote systems.
It provides a landing pad for a small mining or utility vessel as well as a storage space for an equipment pod for said vessel, like the "Ate" Utility Ship by DOS.

While the original design was not created with planetary landings in mind, the third iteration made room for a small basic rover storage space in the center structure.
This rover "hangar" is able to fit a small to medium sized rover like DOS's own "Algea" Rover series but lacks any kind of enclosure and is open to the elements and space.
However, this redesign together with the addition of increased downward thrust-power, enabled the basic design to be used on planets with a gravity of up to 1G comfortably and if pushed to its limits it can handle even 1.2G, although with reduced payload.

The PV-3 lacks significant armor since, as a civilian ship it is purely intended for operations in space without significant hostile forces, using a light armor design.
It is by no means defensless though, as it comes equipped with 1 Missile Turret and 5 Gatling Turrets, so it can fend of lighter attackers until it is able to escape with its jumpdrive.

There are two crewquarters supporting two individual crew members each, for a total operating crew of four.
Provided as well are four Cryo Chambers for long distance traveling as well as a well equipped medical station that is able to treat the majority of insuries and infections that might occur while operating in hazardous conditions.

A special thought was put to crew comfort on these long time operations as well and the Engineers at Discordian Offworld Systems integrated a Recreation Lounge for the crew, with a fully equipped galley, a TV, Couch and big observation windows to counter the notion of being "trapped in a tin can" for too long.
It also comes equipped with a toilet and bathroom with separated shower.

Additionally, the PV-3 is equipped with a fully functional Astrometrics laboratory right above the reactor room, handling stellar cartography and navigational requests as well as an addtional Radar screen.
A single Galactic Standard Docking Port is installed as well as an access Ramp for surface operations.

As an added extra, the Engineers at DOS installed the popular Hangar Setup for the Bumper Hover Scout, know from their "Ponos" planetary shuttle, enabling the PV-3 to quickly scout for promising areas in advance without endangering their Utility Vessel.

Also included into the ships systems are:
- 2 Large Cargo Containers
- 1 improved Refinery
- 2 improved Assemblers
- 4 Oxygen Generators
- 8 Oxygen Farms
- 3 Oxygen Tanks
- 3 Large Hydrogen Tanks
- 8 Solar Panels of which 4 can be extended
- 7 Batteries for Backup Power
- 1 Server Room

Equipped like that, the PV-3 might not be the best for any use case but makes up for it in its versatility and is used with great success for its low cost all over the outer systems.

I will add the links to the individual blueprints of the attached small ships and the rover here in the next days!

This ship uses three scripts, namely:

- Whip's Turret Based Radar

- SJ_Omega's Planet Map 3D

- Phils_Easy_Airlocks (still the most easy to use in my opinion)
