Village

Description
I got tired of the cells, and implented a village-dormitory system in the Village.

Each house is 9×13 brick construction populated by 4 inmates with the equal level of security. With this technique I managed to have a reasonable level of the dorms grading, since most of the houses are equipped with a phone, a chair, a bookshelf, a window, and a radiator. Also, as a matter of pure cosmetics, there are 4 extra blocks of walls with 2 doors to isolate showers and toilets for privacy reasons.

One feature of the Village is that every inch of land belongs to the Yard. Whenever a new block of houses is built, the Yard is extended.

Since there is not enough privacy in the dorms, punishments result in prisoners being dragged to the cold solitary rooms with nothing in them, but the space for privacy and isolation.

The contraband is fought by metal detectors and dog guards in the canteens. Every prisoner visits canteen at least twice a day, so most of the metal objects, drugs, booze, and tobacco is taken away, while extra privacy is granted.

As extra challenge I decided to have 3 blocks of space for every path in the yard, while leaving most of the trees untouched. Another extra challenge is that all the prisoners’ houses are equiped with valve which can be used to leave one particular house without water. The valves should only be accessible to the staff, and never to the inmates.

The village is highly profitable, although the Maximum security prisoners start their day by being electrocuted, since their need for morning shower takes an hour to satisfy. Lord, they act like capricious mistresses.
