But actually good suggestion about the "active" thingie,
when you have lots of input ports.. then it might start to be problem
The name one is pain in the butt ;D
Adding support for names from scratch and then changing whole system to support it
You can have more than 1 output, so 1 big hopper with 5k drills and outputs to numerous smaller hoppers at the extractors and they hold 10 or 100 drills?
Anyway, theoretically it should be possible to add small one, and name them MK0 and MK1
The adjustable size would be problematic, just like you see in older comments... when I increased size from 1k to 5k... then empty space was filled with weird bugs, the same would happen to adjustable hoppers, I would have to clean up the inventory of hopper each time the change happens
Firstly, if there was an 'active' tick-box or something that would be convenient, because when you're setting the ID you end up getting random objects while you're cycling through them IDs. You could have the 'active' flag so that the ID can't be changed accidentally while it's active.
Secondly, an adjustable size could be nice. One of the purposes I'm using these for is supplying plasma cutting heads, and having the hopper full of 5000 plasma cutting heads is kind of inefficient. Maybe just having a 'big' hopper at 5000 items and a 'small' hopper at 100 items would be a good mix?
Regardless, I really like them.
If you really felt like going crazy with modifying them then you could have names instead of IDs, so that when you put in a hopper you give it a name, and when putting an output you cycle through the names instead of having to record ID numbers.
Mike
I have been trying to get it to 5k from the very start~~
Because of that any tessaract hoppers existing before this update might act weird
It's advised to either keep spamming Q at them until they are empty (weirdly generated items will end in your inventory)
Or destroy and rebuild them (but then you need to update ID in the outputs)
I don't have any idea of very complex ones to use it so I couldn't test complex factories.
