Description
Get to the small town of Riverside for a waterfront rescue.



The third instalment of the 'L4D Modified' set. This is the old fashioned Death Toll from Left 4 Dead 1, with the original non-versus map layouts, new upgrade/item/melee spawns, small fixes and miscellaneous changes.

Bear in mind that this altered version may be more challenging to the average player and is not a replacement for Death Toll featured within the game by default, but is a custom campaign you must select through the 'AddOn campaign...' menu.

Key features: • Original map layouts (buildings and paths) • Original sewage and river water textures • Dynamic lights added to the floodgate on '2: The Drains' • Buffed Miniguns - they are now more accurate and deal a lot of damage, especially to Tanks! They are also somewhat more powerful in L4D1 • The Last Stand update L4D population • New L4D1 themed hint system for panic events and rescue activation • Original L4D1 models (with HD textures) • Improved lighting • Enabled wind on all exterior cables such as phone poles (they're originally static) • Timed hordes will always spawn ahead rather than behind NEW with Oct 2023 update: • Redesigned Boathouse Finale • Remade all maps from source files • More item spawns • Improved Church Guy infected spawn with director query • New map backgrounds visible from saferooms • Bug fixes and navigation improvements See 'Change Notes' for more info

I do not recommend playing this campaign on a 'Best Available Dedicated' server as some can be heavily modded and greatly interfere with gameplay.

Try to disable some script addons, because during map load the custom infected sounds are being precached and there is a lot of them. Script addons which also precache/load their own entities/functions can cause that issue, likely an overflow.

im so glad everything glows purple and the screen is all blurry, oh and i especially love all the piss colored CC. think i'll go lay down now, my eyes hurt.
