Limpet Class Support CV- reforged and normal

This CV is meant to give options to the player who has adequate resources, but is limited on CPU either by lack of extenders (reforged and normal) or is preparing to build an end game battleship and wants to save CPU for armament/thrust. Both the Limpet and her sister ship the barnacle are designed to do this in a compact T2 ship than can be kept in a hangar or docked somewhere safe. Both ships also act as an additional 320K storage module for the mother ship. They are also meant to be fun and relatively cheap ships for a faction to use together with a main CV.


In reforged, Limpet has an advanced repair bay and drill turret saving 230K CPU from these items for the main player CV to invest in guns or thrust.

A docked storage module also draws no power (otherwise containers use 3PU constantly per container so can be a substantial power drain over time and one that cannot be turned off. Only 1PU in reforged.)

Limpet also has decent thrust and manoeverability but should avoid all combat and will normally be docked to the main CV and only undocked to effect repairs or drill asteroids.

The 4 generators are for the repair bay. At present the repair bay is bugged so does not draw the power it should but the generators are included for forward compatability with when the bug is fixed. Limpet also has a large fuel reserve for its size to cope with the drain when the bug is fixed.

Its sister ship eschews the repair bay for a multiturret, teleporter and deconstructor and is for reforged only.

The CPU and stats are shown for reforged above, in normal it is only 215k CPU and much cheaper than in reforged
