We all see the same sunset


Hey there, today I want to present you the Glock-18 Anemoia! I really wanted to take a break from the Livesawn skins and I started working on continuing the Anemoia collection. I wanted to try out a pistol and thought the Glock would suit the Anemoia look. What you can see is the result of my efforts, and I genuinly hope you like it! :)


The work process was a fun journey with honestly not a lot of setbacks. I first put the gradient in place and mapped out where I wanted to have the drawings. After having made the final adjustments to placement I started drawing the characters in their places. After the characters were drawn I moved to the mountain range which was at the barrel. I pushed them up quite a bit to make sure the StatTrack counter wouldn't cover it. Then I drew the carepackage with the plane that dropped it off and the helicopter that just dropped the main protagonists. Lastly was the pigpen cypher which, after having tested it on the back of the grip, was placed on the top of the slide. The reason for this was simply because it would be more visible in that position.

After the paint was in place I wanted to put some details on the model itself. I decided to make a simple geometrical cutout on the bottom of the magazine and place the text in there. This instantly looked right so after fiddling with some annoying pixels there I moved to the back of the gun. I was thinking that I had to put something on the back there because it was looking a little boring from that perspective. So, in that position I decided to engrave a little bit of text saying "G18" which refers to the Glock-18.

The magazine was quite interesting because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I drew a couple of shapes and eventually ended up with the design which you can see here. I really like the thick cutout at the bottom of the magazine. Lastly I added a little bit of grip to the mag release button. All the details were painted in Substance Painter as I'm slowly but surely becoming comfortable doing this kind of alterations in the program.


It was really fun doing another Anemoia skin and as you can expect I will also make and upload the Neon Galaxy and Night variants. I will have to see when I can squeeze some time into my schedule as I'm really busy with my mid-terms that are coming up next week.
