Description

Also check out my other tools!

This tool does both Rope and Elastic suspension setups for you, so my previous rope and elastic, while still useful on their own for other purposes are more or less replaced by this one tool that can complete the job of both quicker.

The Suspension Tool allows you to create multiple ropes from the coordinate-center of a prop, and finish off by creating an elastic suspension with just a few clicks!

This makes for incredibly fast suspension setup!

This tool is great for setting up suspensions for vehicles, simply Left-click the wheel you want to attach the ropes and elastic to, then Left-click points on the base you want the ropes to attach to. ( You can keep pressing Left-Click for multiple ropes) then finish off by Right-Clicking the base to create and attach an elastic to the wheel. This will complete your suspension setup in its entirety.

As seen on:

Feel free to join us!

How to use:
Step 1: Left click on a wheel. ( This will mark it blue )
Step 2: Left click to attach ropes to the base-plate. ( You can have as many as you need)
Step 3: Right click the base-plate to attach the elastic and unselect the wheel.
Your suspension is complete!

Can't find it:
The tool is located under "Constraints", it's called "Suspension".
It should be near the bottom of the constraints list.

Why does my wheels not rotate properly or wobble?
Keep in mind that this tool creates a Rope & Elastic Suspension only.
It does not create a ballsocket for your wheel.
You will have to setup the ballsocket the way you want your wheels to turn before using this tool on your wheel.

Can i use the stuff i build on other servers?
Yes! If you've used this tool to build anything, it will work on other servers,
even if that server doesn't have this tool installed!

Hey Aqua i was wondering if you were still in the realm of creating addons for gmod? I'm looking for someone to help make a rope related tool to allow the user to right click & place a rope between the designated location & adjacent prop/surface like you can with sliders, muscles & hydraulics. I swear the feature was enabled for ropes years ago but i may be wrong...

For below and anyone who needs this tip: Make sure you weigh your baseplate a good weight usually relative to the constant of the elastic. 500+ is usually good weight.

Should already be fixed. Thanks. But let me know if you still encounter it.

Very easy to fix, but since I do not know the Github repo:

This tool does not create a ballsocket for your wheel. If you haven't setup your ballsocket beforehand the tool will create a rope/elastic suspension for your wheel, but the wheel can still freely rotate around its axes.

The instructions may have been a bit unclear on this, but
make sure you have setup a working ballsocket for your wheels.
