Description
Small server adjustments making the game more... interesting.

Prominent features:
- Global damage is re-balanced and degrades with hunger/sanity
- Weapon and Armor efficiency degenerate as they get damaged
- Birdcages can no longer be abused
- Nightmare fuel is harder to find
- Force items to drop on disconnect
- Rebalance to the Wortox character
Wortox now relies on souls for hunger but at the cost of his sanity

This mod is compatible with the "Uncompromising Mod" for an even harder challenge.
- Trapdoor spiders have had their spawn chance adjusted
- Compatible with the Stalking Stuffers update

The current rebalancing Black Death setting conflicts with The Black Death mod.

Quite happy that my code comments ended up being useful haha !

If you're interested, in the bugfixes folder there is a crash that I've found with Black Death and patched in case that can be of use to you.
Also in one of the constants.lua file, I wrote a mathematical model of transmission chance in relation to how long you're exposed to the virus. Use it as you see fit!

@Lecernaws Thank you for the response! And I see. I've actually experienced the opposite, where it's a tool that has allowed myself to simply ignore many risks - perhaps that's just because we play extra cautiously normally. I'd intended to bring it back a bit in the next update.

Also just a heads up: Dirtiness will be going away, so you won't need that extra code. I noted the comments in the code and agreed it would be more fitting to use the pathogenometer to check for dirty critters/players.:steamthumbsup:

@The Tiddler: Very honored to have you post here! Thank you for making the Black Death mod - it is highly enjoyable and might I add very well written.

To address your questions:
On the server I play on, there is a hard stance against custom player characters. And so I thought it good to add an option for people like me to still enjoy your mod without having to disable it outright.

For soap and the virus transmission rate: this simply came down to preference after many playthroughs. I too thought of soap as a very powerful item at first, but as games progressed, people would still very often catch the plague even with it being craftable for everyone. And given that there is roughly a minute's window after infection before soap becomes useless, there is often not enough time to craft it and the trees were still relevant.
That was my experience on my playthroughs so far and I hope it answers your question!

Might I ask why the soap becomes available to every character if Wade is disabled? Regardless of why Wade is disable-able, soap is a very strong tool and it's hardly fitting for just everyone to be able to craft it
