RICLM 5u 2-6-6-2T Logger

Description
Special thanks to Cashnip for designing the logic for this locomotive. Check out his workshop for more technical train creations.

This fictional steam locomotive was designed by the Rekman Industrial & Commercial Locomotive Manufacturers in 1905. If the RICLM did not need to re-engineer the articulation method halfway through building the prototype, it would have been the first articulated locomotive to operate in the United States. Unlike many 2-6-6-2Ts, the Logger employed a Meyer bogie system, where both wheel frames could swivel underneath the locomotive. Although the tank engine was a narrow gauge locomotive, many standard gauge logging railroads were interested in RICLM’s design and the RICLM soon made standard gauge and oil burning models of the Logger.

This locomotive runs on 5u (1000mm/42in) track and has a front rope coupler height of 2u. The gauge on the front of the firebox displays the theoretical speed and the gauge on top of the firebox displays the theoretical power. It can be driven sitting down or standing up. In both scenarios, there are two buttons to increase or decrease the speed with a button or lever to zero out the smart engine. The wheel on the side of the cab, or the invisible switch in the seat, is used to switch the forward and backward inputs into buttons that increase and decrease the power. Detach the magenta barrier blocks and re-attach the locomotive and tender using the rope coupler on the tender. Release the temporary brake to move.
