Immortality Improved

Description
A mod for Crusader Kings 3 allowing players to grant any character immortality, and providing utilities for playing immortal rulers.

Based on the currently abandoned Immortality mod by Slightly Productive https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2217002908

This mod is open source! Feel free to report issues, suggest features, and contribute at https://github.com/paige404/CK3_Immortality

Localizers welcome! I'm happy to talk anyone who wants to contribute localization through the process of making a pull request. Rather than splitting the mod up into several localized versions that all need to be separately maintained, contribution through the GitHub will allow us to keep all the localization on the one mod.

How to Use
Either right click your ruler and select Grant Immortality, or select the Immortal trait from the trait list during character creation

F.A.Q

"My ruler died to mysterious circumstances despite being immortal???"

- Immortality makes you immune to aging and difficult to kill. But not impossible to kill. Stay sexy, don't get murdered.

Can't get pregnant after age 45 even though immortality age is at 20.

I see, thank you for the answer. I tried, before leaving the comment, to create separated mod that add marriage acceptance but failed. You idea with scheme sounds much more interesting

Here, I've created an issue for this on the GitHub. https://github.com/paige404/CK3_Immortality/issues/31

It is possible, yes. I don't intend to add it though, as I don't think that's an appropriate solution to the problem. There's no reason this wouldn't work alongside a separate "free marriage" trait or something, but I don't think that should be packaged up with immortality. It only makes sense for people to be wary of marrying the 200 year old ageless lich.

What would be a cool solution would be a scheme to fake your death and pose as your own child or grandchild to effectively reset your age. I don't have space in my life to develop that though; I more or less only care to maintain the mod at this point. I would welcome a PR if someone wants to tackle that issue, but developing new features for this mod myself just isn't a priority for me right now.

Is it possible to add marriage acceptance modifier +1000 or something like that? When 100+ yo ai refuse marriage because age consideration -700(for example) and low fertility -200

The Decision does not appear if you are an adventurer, after I removed the "is_valid_showing_failures_only" condition, it appeared again.

Restore body and mind doesn't enable until you have something that hinders you, like a missing limb. Once you make yourself or another immortal, the only other option you can change is your age.

Other options only appear during specific moments, like enabling another one lifetime event like Holy War and Making a New Faith.

I'm not seeing the restore body or other decisions aside from immortality.

Updated for 1.16.0. There were changes made for modding, but I don't think any of them touched this mod. I'm in my end of semester crunch though, so no time for testing.

Still works fine for me as of 4/11/25. No crashes or bugs encountered on my part even with my other 33 mods installed.
