G.E.I. Elaka

The GEI Elaka is named after Captain Elaka Zerifoe. In the second week of the GEI offensive against Zirax forces, Captain Elaka responded to a UCH distress signal. When she arrived Elaka found a disabled UCH Frigate and two Troop transports under siege from two Zirax Sunat Class Corvettes. Captain Elaka charged in with determination and with a well placed laser barrage disabled the first corvette's core, but in the process exposed the warp core and shield to direct fire from the other corvette. Angling her Dark Horizion to expose the contructors and cargo arrays to the enemy she maintained fire on the Zirax Corvette until her ship was lost. Her action allowed the UCH Vessels to Escape. The GEI Elaka is named in her honor.

The GEI Elaka is the successor to the Dark Horizon. In response to some minor design flaws and GEI's responsibility to it's customers to provide the best possible products. GEI has released the Elaka! The Elaka is a completely overhauled and redesigned ship based on the versatility of the Dark Horizon. The Sleek new spaceframe of the Elaka is just the tip of the improvements! It features improved storage, superior defenses and superior survivability among many others. This ship has the capacity to customized by captains depending on what roles they want the ship to fill.

The Elaka was designed as a long range scout, but doubles as light cargo hauler, carrier, miner and freighter. Built with Versatility in mind it comes with a hanger bay, full fabrication facilities and built in repair bay this ship has a large mission profile. The ship design called for the ability to support large fleets if the need arose. Classified as a light cruiser, Fleet roles include Carrier Support, Hit and Run, Salvage/Mining, Rescue ops, Supply Transport, SV/HV repair.

September 25th build updates
Improved Ammo Storage, Salvage&ore Storage. Larger hanger, More power, Lift thrust, Better planetside drone defenses and a T2 shield upgrade. Some Signal Logic improvements.

This is my September 2020 Submission for the Anvil Designer's Challenge!

This ship does not have a gravity Generator! I did not design this ship with one and if you want one I am sure you can add one in the hanger bay. I decided I did not want one in this build since I leave it off on the Dark Horizon.
