This is the largest ship I've built on Avorion, measuring roughly 2km in overall length. Based on the Galaxy class star ship from Star Trek The Next Generation. She's 300% the scale of the TV show capital ship. Took some artistic liberties with the design, including a round saucer (instead of an ellipse), shorter neck and pylons, and an overall smaller vertical profile.

The ventral side of the saucer features 6 additional hangar bays, as pilots seemed to have a hard time getting into the hangars at the back of the saucer.

The torpedo tubes are placed so that they appear to fire forward from the two glowing red points on the neck.

This is a bit of a conjectural design. She's had some flight tests on a creative mode galaxy, but hasn't been played much.

Feedback and suggestions welcome.

@Obst that's a good observation. I was kinda going for a "chop top" hot rod look. It's certainly interesting and was fun to design, but I agree that it hits some kind of uncanny valley with the Galaxy class cruiser.

I tried the ship and it somewhat looks very weird. I couldn't put my finger on it until I scaled its height to 150%, then it looks nice. Something about the original dimensions' aspect ratios felt wrong.

Besides that, nice ship and also scales nicely to bigger sizes with only slight adjustments to the maneuvering and generator blocks necessary.
