Dubai Elevated Station - Metro

Description
Dubai Elevated Metro Line Station - Metro Version

Description
The Dubai Metro is a rapid transit rail network in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with one more line being constructed. These first two lines run underground in the city center and on elevated viaducts elsewhere (elevated railway). All trains are fully automated and driverless, and, together with stations, are air conditioned with platform edge doors. Architecture firm Aedas designed the metro's 45 stations, two depots and operational control centers. The Al Ghurair Investment group were the metro's builders.

Station asset was made by OFFICIAL SAURON / Bibel Gurra and was commissioned by BrowncoatTrekky. I was tasked to finish the networking on assets and make them functional stations.

DIY-Walkway and Prop Pack
There exists a DIY-Walkway Pack which was previously released. It contains necessary light props for the asset, as well as walkway modules and station entrance.

Station Length Compatibility
Approx 18units long.

Technical Details
  • Custom LOD and lightning
  • LED lights animated by Additive Shader mod.
  • Reduced noise pollution and range compared to vanilla stations.
  • Compatible with Railway/Metro Replacer.

Recommended Mods
  • Additive Shader for lights
  • Metro Replacer to use train stations as metro stations.

Supposedly @samequarter262, references suggest operational by 2030. Initial plans were dropped around 2008 but looks like that's picked up again. Who can be sure however the long-term financial effects of Covid.

Really nice station and an equally awesome prop pack. But a correction for the description, as far as I know there were 2 lines planned and the blue line is under construction. Although things may have changed and you may know better, any update on the blue and purple lines?
