Heroic Duel

Description
Original Game, 2 Players, 10-30 Minutes, Ages 8+

Summery:
Red vs Blue, choose a map, deathmatch.

Setup:
After choosing a party use dice, tokens, or mark on the party sheet to denote HP and SP. Designating a starting location on the map by choosing two opposite sides of the map. Players take turns placing characters one at a time. Whoever woke up first today is the first player.

Characters:
Each character has a “Heart” icon for health (HP), “Star” icon for special points (SP), “Feet” icon to denote movement possible, and either a “Sword” or “Bow” icon to denote ranged OR close combat. Close combat can only attack adjacent. Ranged combat can attack within 3 squares away.

Special Abilities:
The cost in special points will be indicated simply by “cost”

• Guard: [ACTIVE] may receive 1 damage of oncoming damage to an adjacent opponent or alley character.
• Heal: cost 1, heal an adjacent ally or self by 2 (up to max)
• Phoenix Down: cost 2, can revive a dead ally with 2 health.
• Last Man Standing: If this character is the last ally immediately heal 2 (up to max)
• RAGE: this character loses 1 health, Then move 1 space and attack for 2 damage.
• Kamikaze: This character explodes upon death. All adjacent characters receive 2 damage.
• Martial Arts: Can use two move actions and two attack actions.
• Acrobatics: Disregards Roof and Brush for movement effect.
• Smoke Bomb Escape: If this character is the last ally AND your opponent has at least 2 characters, then at the start of your turn the opponent wins.
• Teleport: Any character (including self) within 3 squares can instantly move within 4 squares of their original square. Can use teleport instead of a normal move action if using on self.
• Lightning Fury: All adjacent opponents receive 1 damage.
• Curse to Death: Opponent within 3 squares receives 3 damage.
• Drain Life: Adjacent opponent loses 1 health. This character gains 1 health.

Map Rules:
• Roof: (Brown) Lose 1 extra move to enter/exit roof square. Can not make a ranged attack through this square.
• Brush: (Green) Lose 1 extra move rounded up. Nullify damage bonus and back stab.
• Water: (Blue) Lose 1 extra move rounded up.
• Object: (Black) Can not pass or make ranged combat through.
• Impassible: (Yellow) Can not pass.

Other Rules:
• Attacks or movements can be done in any order.
• Normal attack does 1 damage.
• Close combat “sword” refers to adjacent attacks.
• When finishing a turn with a character choose a forward direction. Forward is indicated by arrows on character token.
• Direction a character token faces effects damage taken from attacks (see Diagram).
