ALCO RS-3

Description
Special thanks to Cashnip for building the logic for the throttle, throttle gauge, and randomized road numbers. Check out his workshop for more technical train creations.

The RS-3 was a road switcher produced by American Locomotive Company and Montreal Locomotive Works. The RS-3 was in production between 1950 and 1956. The locomotive was primarily produced for North American railroads, but some were sent to Brazil and a few ended up in Europe. The original design of the locomotive dates back to the 1941 RS-1, with the subsequent RS-2 and -3 building onto the original concepts.

This locomotive runs on 7u (standard gauge) track and has a 4u rope coupler height. To get to the cab, navigate via the seats placed on the walkways. Once you get to the last seat before the door, press Switch 1 to open the cab door. Once inside, use W and S to accelerate forward and backward, using the full stop to zero out the smart engine. Make sure to turn the key and release the temporary break to move. Use the black arrow behind the control stand to randomize the road number. If you are not in the cab and you need to stop the train, there is a temporary break at the end of the shorter hood.

Controls:

Switch 1: Start Engine

Switch 2: Break (Temporary)

Switch 3: Break (Full Stop)

Switch 4: Horn

Switch 5: Bell

Switch 6: Light (Front)

Switch 7: Light (Rear)

Design Discrepancies:

Doors do not have windows
Ladders only have one railing
Santa Fe did not actually have any RS-3s, so the road number range and paint scheme are fictional
The bell is missing because it was in too much of a depressing location to include

For anyone who has had trouble spawning in this item in the past, I was missing a very important mod in my mod list. Despite most of my creations depending heavily on the Folk Mod, I have somehow forgotten to add it until now. Visit the mod collection to download it. I apologize for the confusion and delay.

Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you last weekend. Neither of our schedules are conducive to a collab right now. If we manage to find some free time, I'll let you know.

Sounds good man! I'm sure I can find time, I work on the railroad so bear with me!

Yeah, I'd love to do a collab, but I don't have too much free time right now. I'll talk to Cashnip about doing another collaborative build and we'll get back to you on the weekend.

Its always nice to see fellow creators make realistic locos, this is nice! Would you guys ever want to collab a build similar to this? Check out my uploads and lmk!
