Volkmar the Grim (and the gaunt) - Empire Legendary Lord and Flagellant buff

IN BRIEF:

Mod to make Volkmar a viable Empire Legendary Lord and to give some tweaks to the crazy flagellants who follow him. Volkmar has always been my favorite empire LL, don't @ me Franz/Gelt wannabes. That and I've wanted to do a mod for Volkmar for ages

What it does:

There are 3 main changes to this mod

1) Adjusts Flagellant units

A) Flagellants in Volkmars army gain a new passive ability called "Bless this ravaged body" (I'm looking at you Saltzpyre you gorgeous creature) - This ability prevents any flagellant entities from dying until the overal HP of the unit is below 50%

B) Adjusted "strength of the penitent" (the buff flagellants get when losing melee combat) now lasts for 60 seconds and increased the physical resistance from 15% to 20%

2) Gives Volkmar limited access to the Lore of Light.

Whilst Volkmar is not a caster in lore, the effects of these spells feel thematic with Volkmars presence on the battlefield, ie. increased leadership, refusing to take a step back in the face of overwhelming odds, fighting longer and harder then before etc.

So to that end, Volkmar now has access to:

Shem's Burning Gaze
Pha's Protection
Exorcism
Light of Battle
Barona's Timewarp



3) Volkmars Battle Bus (War Altar of Sigmar) now has an AoE heal

Again whilst there is nothing loreful about the War Altar of Sigmar healing troops around it, i would like to think the men of the Empire who are able to see Volkmar astride the Altar ignoring wounds that would normally incapacitate a lesser man

This AoE heal is tiny, only 2 HP a second

Why have you create this mod?

I wanted to create changes that synergised well with the most badass Empire lord.

Why is he a badass? I'm pleased you asked

This is a guy who faced Archaon (was killed) was resurrected by a demon and chained to his banner to sow terror throughout the empire. Broke free from that banner and using the very chains he was bound by, laid into the demon horde helping to drive them back at the battle of Middenheim.

But his badassness(sp) doesn't end there, after Archaon was finally defeated and driven back, Mannfred Von Carstein the snivelling wretch, marched upon the shattered defenders of Middenheim. Mannfred confronted Karl Franz on Deathclaw, flanked by Kurt Helborg and Ludwig Schwarzhelm and basically told them to surrender or die.

A solitary figure walked out from the Empire regiments and confronted Mannfred. His bald head glistened in the light of the raging storm, his long moustache whipped across his cheeks in the howling wind. Arms crossed, a frown on his face, Volkmar the Grim stared into the eyes of the Vampire Lord

"Nearly five hundred years ago, a man like me killed a monster like you. It can be done again"

Realising Volkmar was not to be trifled with, Mannfred scurried back to Sylvania with his tail between his legs
