As for gameplay, it could be better
1st, map's too small. The teams spawn right next to each other so there’s lots of spawn killing. You should increase the size of the map a lot, & make larger bases. More then just a spawn room
2nd is point placement. Because all are so close to RED spawn, capturing them is hard, & the point in the cave is the worst. Since RED spawns right next to the point, & the cave has only 1 way in, you've created a nasty chokepoint. I'd recommend adding 3-4 ways in, where 2 can be used by BLU, & the rest by RED. Don't put spawn next to any points, either
I do see a lot of promise here & think this map could be pretty fun with a good rework. I'd say keep working on your craft, & good luck!
It's a rather cute looking map right now, I am still a bit claustrophobic with the limited space but it sure does feel like a Minecraft map so that achievement is accomplished.
Also some tips:
- The default camera is placed under your map now and shows your map from below, you can place a spectator camera in Sourcehammer to fix this issue. (tutorials are out there)
- I see you played around with the effects like burning and changing colours of a block when capture which is always a nice touch, maybe you can look into the effects list when you remove that TNT block so you got a visual when it explodes.
Might not be the same as Minecrafts explosion but it sure helps to get any visual!
- Your lighting on the torches is a bit too close to the object so you get shadows on them I would recommend placing them a bit further away from them, also you can apply a flikkering effect over them to make it look like a cave with torches!
Besides the really small map and use of the classes by working around the obstacles etc.
Your map has no working Skybox so it leaks all over the place, plus a lot of textures are missing.
The entire blue spawn building is just one big pink box.
Look for some advice and forums to see how to fix this, I would advice TF2Maps.net .
That website has good people on it and you can use it before you upload maps on the workshop so people can give you feedback before you publish it.
