The "Titan" model is the oldest and least powerful of the mechs used in the war games of Cryad. Nothing is stopping players from choosing more advanced models, so those who pick it are either clueless beginners or veterans who enjoy stacking the odds against themselves. These veterans are often hopelessly addicted mech combat junkies, spending years at a time inside their neural link chambers earning triple digit killsteaks. It is common knowledge among players to approach every Titan with caution when roaming the battlefield.
