World of Islands

Description
Are you ready to explore the World of Islands?

I love islands but the originial islands-map has a lots of ocean. I created a huge map full of islands!

There are a lots of resources. Very many! Jungle near ice? No Problem! Desert near snow? No Problem! Space to colonize? Enough, more than enough. Just start playing!

It's highly recommended to research compass early, giving you the ability to have your land units embark to sea and fully enjoy the map.

If you want to play this map in Multi-Player follow the instructions below:

To play this map in Multi-Player, you will need to go into yer Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\World of Islands (v 1), in there, find the .Civ5Map file, named Mr.RandomV2 for me, and copy it, then just go back two folders, and into MAPS, and copy it into there. There, you can now host it in multiplayer, as it will show up in the Maps section when you choose a map-type. Look around, it's there somewhere. Enjoy!

Thank you for playing my little map ;) Please don't forget to rate up!

The picture is a screenshot of the first version I uploaded. In later versions some (not much) ice was removed.

As of right now, the mod downloads for me, but I had to manually copy over the .Civ5Map file into my Maps folder in order for it to show in the list of available maps when customizing a modded game. Just a tip for anyone that may be experiencing this issue.

A Thought To The Author:
I'm not sure how practical it is to have some parts of the map with a lot of ice & mountains so close together. It can make it hard to get started in the beginning if you're trapped in a small area with only two ways out (both requiring embarkation).
Other than that, it's a very well designed map. :)
