What it takes away is the lazy "run to mining area, grab x, run to other main area and proceed with doing the stuff to get the other stuff" route, making the player have to re-asses their next moves, this, adds depth to the game, although I think that the stamina runs out earlier a little too quick, I think I need to try doing stuff with a full stomach as well, to see what a difference that makes.
I think "Unplayable" is too harsh, as it forces you to slow down at certain points, when you get to the planet, going from lander to the mining area, the glue spitters are much more dangerous as you cant just charge past them straight from the pod, you have to eat, get your health back and murk them one by one, which honestly adds to the game rather than take away.
Touche.
Subbed, the new stamina system makes S.o.L unplayable.
