Discord Death Announcements

Description
Announces deaths on your DST server to your Discord server using a webhook.

MAY BE AFFECTED BY MOD API CHANGES: see https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163519-mod-api-discussion-thread/

Use
SetDiscordWebhook("https://discordapp.com/api/webhooks/734950/YourWebhookHere")
in the console to set the webhook URL that you got from Discord's webhook menu. You should only have to do that once per server.

Supports some mod characters! If you want me to add your mod character, send me the prefab name and the character's icon in this thread.

More info if you haven't used webhooks before: Basically, you give this mod a special URL that you get from Discord, and it uses it to send messages into a server. Here are some detailed instructions if you need them:

  1. Open your Discord server's settings. Go to Integrations and add a New Webhook. Set the channel to the channel that you want the death announcements to show up in. The name and icon don't matter because they'll get overridden.
  2. Copy the webhook URL.
  3. Open Don't Starve Together. Enable this mod on your server. Start the server. Press the ~ key to open the console, and type in:
    SetDiscordWebhook("URL")
    where URL is replaced by the webhook URL that you copied earlier. Make sure that the word on the left says Remote and not Local. If it says Local, press Ctrl to switch it to Remote. Then press enter.
  4. If you want to test the mod, try this command:
    SendDiscordMessage("test")
    It should send a message into your Discord server.

It works but not with deaths in caves. Do I have to change something in .lua file?

For me only worked after I manually pushed a death to a player on the server through console via AllPlayers[number]:PushEvent('death') (replace number with any player number). After that the mod works as intended.

Love it, would be nice to be able to add some extra text to the end of the message. Would use it to input a command into my server's music bot whenever someone died
