Anvil C8X Pisces Expedition

Description
A 1:1 scale replica of the Star Citizen shuttle of the same name. It is survival ready in so far as it is air tight, provides oxygen and has everything accessible for restocking. (See below for the access locations.) The shuttle can land on Titan, Europa and – with some concessions – the moon (see below.) Due to size constraints the cockpit seat is on a hinge. Together with the loading ramp in the back, this makes the ship not printable although these parts can be put in place even in survival using a little tug ship. The Sparks of the Future DLC is only needed for the ion thrusters. They can be replaced with the standard models.

PCU: 3970
Blocks: 863
Mass: 32 t

Access port locations
The ammo belts for the Gatling cannons are restocked on top of the wings and to the left and right of the pilot seat. The reactor is also to the left of the pilot. Ice for oxygen production and bottles is a bit more fiddly: It can be accessed from behind the left wing behind the rocket launcher.

Landing on the moon
The relative weakness of small ion thrusters means that you need an 45° angle of attack to counter gravity with the larger rear thrusters. Use the camera to slide to your landing side and turn off the dampeners once the rear landing gears make contact. (During flight, press F,2,2.) To lift off again, press up and space to lift the nose, then accelerate forwards.

button inside anywhere really. button outside smack in the middle of the door would be fine.

No your eyes are good. The idea was to connect via antenna and remotely operate the hatch. But leaving the electronics on kinda consumes Uranium. Hmm. Do you see a good spot for a button?

great ship, saw it on the stream today. can you implement a button for the cargo hatch? or am i really really blind? Not really finding any access to the ship from the outside.

Thank you, that's what I started with and built around. It shows. I still don't know how I managed to squeeze a large battery and O2 generator in. It was my first replica and I begin to understand why others build in 200% scale.

Nailed the cargo bay interior mate :cozyspaceengineersc:. I went for a more practical approach :)
