I used one of your screenshots and did a very fast paintover http://i.imgur.com/U6rX70M.jpg cache is a good example of smiple brushwork that looks great, have a look at that for inspiration, siege is another good map in industrial theme,
overall I think you can add some more props like lamps and wires, split the brushes every now and then and mix up the textures a little bit, keep them to 128/256/512, also for all the outside area I would use displace mesh for the ground - paint alpha, to blend between the two textures!
