Description
The M3A1 was a variant of the M3 Stuart. Starting production in 1942, it provided a new cast turret. The American Marine Core used the tank extensively in Pacific campaigns. The US Army and British Commonwealth forces used the tank in the Campaign for North Africa. While it was used in Europe, by the time the Allied powers had executed major battle plans across France and Belgium, it was replaced by the M5 and M5A1.
