The Vimthreader as a class is a non-standard "tank" under Gloomhaven mechanical convention with extremely minimal shield/up front mitigation features; instead it focuses on high healing throughput, reuseable summons, and other abstracted forms of mitigation through seeded buffs/debuffs with its multiple modifier decks.

Gameplay is meant to be very "twitchy", featuring lots of fast/swingy things with a focus on high mobility. The actual damage output is intended to be on the lower side as you "death by a thousand cuts" your enemies, or empower your allies with potent effects to boost their offenses instead.

"Empower" and "Enfeeble" are the core mechanic of the class. They serve as a sort of inbetween/combination of muddle/bless/curse/strengthen where you have your own unique modifier cards you insert into enemy/ally decks instead of just bless/curse/flat -1s.
