Description
RS/4 “ECHO” Long-Range Communications Satellite
United States Space Force

Information

In the aftermath of the Second Space Race of 2029, the United States Space Force began establishing a permanent presence on Luna, Mars, and in the Belt. To aid with this, Echo-class commsats were constructed to aid with intrasystem communication and navigation.

Equipped with two laser antennas, this satellite has sufficient range to reach the entire solar system provided it has a line-of-sight with its target. Echo-class satellites are most commonly placed in planetary orbit to provide communications with a surface installation or command post. They are also placed in deep space and used to ‘echo’ a signal between two receivers that don’t have sufficient range or line-of-sight.

The Echo-class commsat is also equipped with a self-destruct mechanism, to prevent its capture by enemy agents. The detonation timer is automatically set at thirty (30) seconds. Do NOT try this at home.

I'm interested in the collection, and I was wondering if I could somehow contribute. I figured I'd friend you and ask you through dms.

Hi @sammy boi, I do not usually accept friend requests from people who I do not know. Is there a particular reason you wanted to get in touch with me?

Thank you very much. I am glad you appreciate.

This is a lovely addition to the Space Force collection, I like the addition of a self destruct system. The line between survival utility and design asthetic is a great one, good job!

@Mantha - There is no such thing as "too much explosion" :)

4 warheads seems a bit excessive, but other than that, nice!
