Extra Large Utility Meters

Description
5 slot meters that provide 450 connections for electricity, phone, cable, water and gas each.

I've been needing so many the large units I've had problems finding space for the in my towers. So, why not utilities with more connections? And so this mod was born.

At first I saw the the last unit placed had 900 connections instead of 450. To fix that I'd place a stock utility, usually the small electric since it's the cheapest to remove and replace. Then I started using the hvac units. My units would always be 450 connections, but the last hvac unit would be doubled Either exiting and reloading the tower or replacing another of the utilities fixes that up. This was almost a deal breaker for me, until I was it was the hvac units doing it, so it must be something in the code. BTW, it appears that you do have the extra connections.

Another issue I have with these is if you click on it all you get is it's name, type of unit and number of connections. Not the totals of number of connections, number used and percentage used. So I use a 2 x 1, 10 connection unit (as shown in the picture) to get that info. Any ideas to get that info in my units would be appreciated.

All units are twice the build cost of the standard large unit, along with double the cost per day. All units are 5 x 1, and are found under the asterisk by the bulldozer.

The picture shows a sample starting placement of my meters, along with two of my other mods.

Polander, I've an update: the utility meters show the utility stats if the selection { mode } is set to "closet" instead of "decor", but then this removes the meter from the build menu, BUT allows already-placed meters to function as intended without the 2x1 meter. I couldn't figure out how to get them to stay in the menu while keeping the stats visible.

Hi polander50,

To get around the 50 mod limit of Project Highrise, I've combined this mod with others into a few modpacks. Some of the mods have had minor adjustments made for spelling, grammar, attributes, or physical size. All authors are listed in each pack's Credits.txt file. I intend to share these packs with the Workshop on 01 Mar 2024, so please let me know before then if you have any questions or wish to have something excluded.

From you, I've included your Packed Maintenance & Construction Offices, Extra Large Utility Meters, and Observation Decks. Just like you, I was also unable to add utility stats to the information windows; I haven't tried playing with the HVACs. I will limit this request to once per author.

Thanks,
Coretz

I love this mod! As suggested, adding HVAC would be awesome! If possible, for an extra twist instead of hanging them off the side of the building, require them to be placed on the top floor with graphic showing rooftop aircons.

Yeah I have no idea how to fix that and it would be nice if it showed. All in all, they're handy given how most of the space is taken up by small offices and studio apartments. Cost is worth it since you'll either be paying for them late game or with unlimited funds.
