Bayou Belle

Bayou Belle is a heavy air-boat; it's primarily intended for use in rivers, lakes, and other shallow waters; it comes with diving gear, and 4 passenger seats.

General warning: This vessel is not intended for use in deep ocean waters; it can become critically unstable in rough water.

Startup and general operation:

To begin startup; First locate the "Fuel Pump" switch on the instrument panel; toggle the switch to ON.

Next: locate the "Engine Throttle" leaver and set it to about the 0.30 position.

Once throttle is set; find the "Ignition" button located on the instrument panel; press and hold for approximately 3 seconds.

After the engines have started; use the "Pitch Trim" to set maximum trim (You may use use less trimming when moving slowly; however, too little trimming will cause the craft to nose down into the water.)

Once your Trim is set: Use the "Fan collective" control to slowly apply power to the craft. (DO NOT DUMP COLLECTIVE AT HIGH FAN SPEED!!!!)

Notes: When first beginning to move, you should only go up slowly a few notches of collective at a time; 0.10 is an ideal collective setting for maximum speed at full engine throttle; while the full 0.20 setting is good for an ideal speed and fuel efficiency.

Once you're moving with around half collective you can begin using the engine throttle as your means of controlling speed.
