The Gigaworm

The Gigaworm is a fictional endangered alien species, the source comes from eggs that were "dropped" here a very long time ago. Most eggs have died but 2 hatched, with only one officially spotted. Many great divers and scientists have risked and sacrificed their lives to find out the biology of this creature.

Biology:
The Gigaworm is a leviathan class abyssal predator only hunting in the deepest parts of the ocean, though some rare occurrences show the Gigaworm swimming out and attacking vessels and great ships killing all. This may be due to it chasing some fish to the surface. There is evidence that the Gigaworm can survive for long periods of time outside of water and will attack huts near beaches. The after quickly digesting it's prey, it will excrete the digested material through it's plates which can be used as a lethal toxin that can confuse and lure prey to itself.
