Description
What is this?
A mod that adds friendly bots to Zombies Mode to fight alongside you. Bots take empty player slots and (try to) act like real players. The number of bots can be modified by changing your party size in the lobby.
The mod can be played solo, in split-screen, with friends and it also works in offline mode. It supports every original map and most of the custom ones.
This mod is a remake of Team Bots for ZM.

Bots are able to:
  • Wander, hold a position or follow you
  • Shoot and melee zombies
  • Buy wall weapons
  • Buy random box weapons
  • (Re-)Pack-A-Punch weapons
  • Buy perks
  • Buy (most) doors
  • Revive others
  • Pick up power-ups
  • Repair windows
  • Use shields and PES suit
  • Use 2 weapons (3 with Mule Kick)

They have:
  • Increased health - 300% by default, 600% with Juggernog (compared to default player health).
  • Faster health regeneration - 50HP per second.
  • Unlimited ammo - their weapons get replenished when they swap them.
  • Ability to teleport - When set to Follow and cannot reach any player's location, bots will teleport to the closest player in a short time. If no player is found on the navmesh they will auto-switch to Wander.

Bots can buy ANY perk, but prioritize:
  • Juggernog
  • Double Tap
  • Speed Cola

Bot modes:
  • Wander: Bots wander around the map. They engage zombies, buy doors when they have enough points and also pick up power-ups (if enabled).
  • Stay: Bots move to the position of the host player and defend there. They will only move around when they are in danger. When someone is down, they will try to revive and then return to their previous position. They will also pick up powerups (if enabled).
  • Follow: Bots follow the nearest player. They engage zombies freely. If they are too far from the player or the area is clear, they return to him. They also buy doors that are close to them and pick up power-ups (if enabled). In case a bot is blocking a path, the player has to look at it and melee to make it move.

Controls:
  • Visibility of controls are toggled by pressing the buttons displayed in the top left corner.
    (X & SPACE on keyboard by default).

Additional features:
  • Perk limit is increased to 5 on maps that have 4 or less.
  • Max ammo refills currently loaded magazine.
  • Carpenter repairs riot shields.

Known issues and limitations:
  • Since the bots use the same routes that the zombies use, it might happen that they want to go to areas they cannot reach. They will eventually switch to other waypoints.
  • Most of the interactions like buying wall weapons and perks are scripted, because it's hard to get the bots to properly walk up to every interactable object.

The description might be misleading - bots fill empty player slots so the game detects them as players.

First of all, wonderful mod! Is this possible to merge this mod with Solo Easter Egg Mod? So maps like SoE or Shangri-la can be completed with bots. And as you said, the bots don't take player slots so in theory, Solo EE mod would still setup the eastr eggs for 1 player.

@Henri: These bots are mostly for survival. It would be possible, but it would take too much time to do.

@orqestra: You cannot use 2 mods at the same time. Tha game is limited to one active mod.

@razorstargazer: The only time i saw bots keeping the starting weapons was on a map by Verko, and thats's probably because he changed something about weapon lists / mystery boxes on that map. My mod detects weapons that are implemented in the original weapons list, so if he defined his weapons in a custom list, then my mod cannot detect it and use it. On 99% of custom maps bots are able to buy wall weapons or mystery box weapons without problems.

@Kmart: I'm trying to avoid adding more button combinations, there are already more than i originally wanted, but a rework of the bot teleportation is planned.

@XEON: 7 is Gulag Zombies (the screenshot is in the last area), 8 is Gestort, and 11 is Blizzard Outpost

I know you're currently taking a break from modding, but when you return, have you considered adding a teleport button to the menu?

I know the bots are supposed to automatically teleport if they can't reach the player, but I've realized on basically every custom map I've found where they have any sort of nav issues, it would be fine if they would teleport, but they don't... they'll just stand still at times, or wander around, but no matter what they will not teleport. This is especially painful on the Die Rise remaster, where sometimes they can navigate the jumps themselves, other times they THINK they can and fall to their deaths, but in both scenarios there's the *smallest* quirk that has cost me more matches than I'd like to admit

Hey there's like one major problem with this mod that I would love if it was fixed, in the original bots for zombies mod you could give the bots your guns so that they aren't stuck with the pistol. That entire feature seems to be removed from this mod, which means on any custom map the bots are kinda just doomed to fail and they cannot get guns. I know on certain maps the bots are scripted to be able to get wall buys, but that means this mod is only useful for those maps, and everyone is pretty much better off with the original mod. If you could re-implement some features to help bots acquire guns on all maps that would be really really nice.

how can i use this mod in AAE? the bots for AAE are much worse the zmbots are much more smarter but i cant use them in AAE

Hi @UnDead, do you think it would be possible to release updates to this mod that would allow us to perform Easter Eggs with bots from remakes of original maps in Custom Zombies, in addition to the ZC1 maps and the maps from BO3? (Call of the Dead, Der Riese: Declassified, Mob of the Dead, Die Rise, the upcoming TranZit, and Buried)?

I believe it would yield several videos for community content creators. It would be a great contribution to the community. I can already see the title of a YouTube video: "I Performed All Black Ops 3 Easter Eggs with Bots."
