that would work, yes.
I mean... the grass doesn't even need to grow, it just needs to still be edible in winter, even in snow.
like I said: I'd really like to do a Tundra nomads Caribou-/reindeer-herder playthrough. for that, I only need the grass or lichen or something like that to still be edible, not necessarily able to grow.

Had a thought about this, I noticed that the Vanilla Food Expanded mod has beet/s/root that doesn't die in the cold, I'm guessing it doesn't grow(?) but maybe with some testing if that works as we might want it to then i should be able to apply that to grass in theory so they can still eat in winter...

@Dave alright. thanks.

@Dunestyler Hi, I'm sure it must be possible to do, no idea off the top of my head but i'll add it on to my list of things to look at, i have some mods that add winter plants, well, i think so anyway, i tried looking into making a plant that is unaffected by winter by looking at the trees but i think it must be coded in directly rather than something exposed to modders but i'll have another look as there's been a few updates since i last looked.

@Dave is there any way to make it possible for Caribou or similar animals to feed in winter in the Tundra?
I'd like to do a nomad/Caribou-herder run, but it's not really possible, when the Caribou die of starvation if you don't stock up on haygrass.
