Hobbit House

Description
What started out as a small SteamVR Home project to see how closely I could recreate the front outside area of a real hobbit house from Hobbiton, New Zealand, in the Hammer map editor, ended up turning into something a bit larger than originally planned. The surrounding landscape is much larger now(It's not based on the real hobbiton), and I also added a second hobbit house (It's the front yard area of the hobbit house from my Underground Home SteamVR Home map, with some changes. There is no inside area, because it was made for background scenery).

The front of the main hobbit house/deck area, and some of the plants right next to the house are based on a real hobbit house at Hobbiton NZ, while inside the main house, the front yard, surrounding landscape, and second hobbit house are made up and/or inspired by real life/The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit.

Inside the main hobbit house is a small room which was going to be made as something to see when looking through the windows. But I ended up adding lots of detail in there, so the cozy inside area can now be accessed by opening the front door.

While visiting, see if you can find the following items:
The One Ring
3 Frogs around the lake
Something hidden out in the field(You'll know it when you see it)

Have a wander down the path, and relax at the pond.

Enjoy

Thanks. I had no idea there was a locomotion tool. Although it looks like it's a custom made tool. I wish Valve would add an official option to change your locomotion type.

Truly fantastic! Any chances you'll be able to add the locomotion tool for it? Extremely few environments implement it, and it would be lovely to walk around freely in this one.

The One Ring is about the size of a real ring, maybe slightly bigger. So it won't be the easiest thing to find.

I can't even find the ring, am I just bad at VR?

I guess it doesn't help that you don't know what you're looking for.

Hint: If I remember correctly, it's a bit smaller than a basket ball.
