Enemies will not try so hard to stay away from each other.

You may have noticed that most enemies will stay at at least 5 or 6 tiles away from each other. That's because there is a scoring system for the AI, when evaluating which tiles to move to.

By default, any tiles within 6 tiles of another Advent unit would be negatively scored so that the AI would avoid moving there - presumably so that they don't set themselves up for grenades so easily.

This is a simple ini edit mod that reduces the intensity of this negative scoring. It's still there, just not as strong, so that enemies won't move from high-cover to low-cover just for the sake of spreading out from teammates.

100% safe to enable or disable at any time. For another AI tweak, check out AI Distributes Attacks.

I posted that message to a bunch of mods on my mod list originally, figured it'd be nice to tell people that those mods had been stable in what was a pretty heavily-modded setup at the time. Viper apparently copied the message later on, and I'm guessing the third guy joined in for the memes.

There're the Evac All mods for the base game and WotC. But if you mean evac wherever the trooper is on the map then I don't think there is one.

No, sorry. But I think it still might work without DLC. It is a base-game setting.

If it doesn't work, go into your DefaultAI.ini, change: DEFAULT_AI_SPREAD_WEIGHT_MULTIPLIER=0.2f
to
DEFAULT_AI_SPREAD_WEIGHT_MULTIPLIER=0.6f
