The Centurion is armed with twin Z-24 rocket batteries and comes equipped with an autonomous or manned turret designed to neutralise incoming projectiles or fighters. The Centurion serves as a medium dropship that can rapidly deploy and retrieve ground troops, with a heavy payload of rockets to clear the drop area. However, it is not designed to operate independently, being ineffective in long-range interplanetary operations.

The construction of the Centurion was initially inspired by a prison break that occurred out of Enzhagi 13a, a large asteroid prison orbiting Enzhagi 3. It is here where a particularly crafty pirate commandeered one of the armoured transports used to ferry inmates between solitary and the primary complex and was able to with the help of a few other inmates managed to create a controlled explosion out of one of the transports auxiliary fuel ports which propelled it out of the incredibly thin atmosphere of Enzhagi 13a. These pirates were apprehended shortly after.
