In the middle of a remote town, on a forested mountain range, a former church scheduled for demolition was recently purchased by Mann-Co for (NON-SUSPICIOUS) reasons...

Frostwynd is a 2-stage Medieval MvM map, in which bots first attempt to capture the town, and then attempt to destroy Mann Co's secret R&D station hidden within the church. Stop the bots from taking the gate - and (probably) failing that - stop them from planting their bomb!

But be careful - as is town tradition, any weaponry deemed "not-medieval-enough" has been confiscated upon entry! Unfortunately, however, they couldn't do the same for the robots...

Medieval MvM

Frostwynd uses a more lenient medieval restriction, aimed at making more classes useful within Medieval MvM. Flare pyros, rocket-jumper soldiers, mini-sentries, and mediguns are all fair game, under Frostwynd's widely contested "we'll allow it if it's kinda like D&D" clause.

Also, heavy got sad, so we made him giant.

Sounds good, if possible, some extra upgrades like melee resistance or other things could definitely help too.

please do, this map is a personal favourite of mine, and having it in game as one of valves playable MvM maps would mean being able to regularly play and queue for it

@Serge Ivanov So about this - Bots aren't supposed to have the melee restriction as well, but back in the old days before VScript there was no way to achieve this without server plugins.

I'm planning on (hopefully) updating the map to have that functionality built in via VScript before the update deadline.

MvM with *just* melee for both bots and players sounds super fun on paper but it's pretty damn clunky in practice. This map is also super tall and imposing, a delight to look at thankfully.

Another stellar mvm map! One thing to note though,PS I know you probably really like the autumn tree props but they look a little out of place in the snow.
