The Tutor

Description
The tutor introduces a new lifestyle trait - called Tutor - that depends on Learning and that introduces a new dynamic to the raising of children. At its core, if a child has a guardian, Court Teacher or Educator with the tutor trait, he/she will develop more its Stats during childhood. This effect is only felt once the child is 6 year old.

The Tutor trait also enables an event where the player (or an NPC) may offer to teach the liege a subject of his/her interest. The student needs to have at least 5 in learning to be able to improve his/her stats. The Student can’t be Slow, Imbecile, Incapable, Slothful or Drunk. The Tutor needs to have at least 10 Learning to teach the Liege and needs to avoid the same traits mentioned before for the student. The realm must be at peace.

If you enjoy this mod, try out my much bigger and complete one - including also this minimod - called Dark Ages

If you choose to activate Dark Ages, don't activate this one for compatibility reasons. Besides, The Tutor is already included in Dark Ages.

Great small and simple mod. Workshop needs more of these.

Stat increases depend on the Learning of the tutor. You get penalties at <8, <6, <4, <2. You get bonuses at >11, >14, >17, >20.

Then, half the time the tutor increases the stat of his/her education, per point. The other half it increases randomly one stat of the ward, per point.

On average a Tutor will increase each ward 2 or 3 points if he/she has Learning Stat between 8 and 11. If a Tutor has Learning of at least 21 it increases on average 6 stat points each ward.

In the end you should pay attention to the Learning of the Tutor and his/her education.

Ah okay thanks. Good mod!
Was wondering if you have any kind of idea on how much the difference between a tutored child and a normally educated child turn out. I can't really tell in my games yet if it has helped that much

By either having a ward, having focus on scholarship or focus on theology... then it is a matter of luck.

It helps if you have either of the focci as it turns the event a bit more frequent.

how do you get the trait for yourself?
