Historical Series Shay Geared Locomotive SL1801F

SL1800F Series Shay Geared Locomotive.
It is an old three-cylinder locomotive on the Aome Railways. Please note that driving is complicated and it is difficult to make fine adjustments.
But its traction is reliable.


1 Turn on Circuit Breaker and turn on the control system.

2 Turn on SteamValve and Water Pump, then turn on the Ignition button to pour coal.

3 When button “Put coal” is pressed to maximize heat, sit in the driver's seat and rotate the reverse handle little by little in the positive direction.

4 The main valve regulates the amount of steam sent to the cylinder.
The reverse handle controls the movement of the cylinder.

5 The brake lever acts on the operation of the brake valve.
The brake force gradually increases while the valve is open, the brake force stabilizes when the valve is closed, and the brake gradually releases when pushed inward. If you pull it toward you, the emergency brake will be applied.

6 The bypass valve is used when the vehicle is stopped or coasting.
