Cold Seas Reborn

Description
This is a branch of the Cold Seas test campaign, built for 2.5. The People's Republic campaign should be basically functional and all land vehicles should work.
A QFN-style campaign is in the works.
Expect further updates.
Cold Seas is a custom planet for From the Depths, set in a fictional planet dealing with its own cold war.It features multiple playable factions, missions, campaigns and vehicles.
Compared to other campaigns Cold Seas is less focused on build strategy (building the best possible vehicles) and more on how you use those vehicles at tactical and strategic levels, very rarely one side will have a significant edge over the other so tactics and proper use of conbined arms is essential for winning.
“A People’s Republic” (PR) is the first campaign for Cold Seas, it has a 1950s/60s tech level and takes heavy inspiration from the Chinese and Spanish civil wars.
You play as the Republican Party of Terreth and with help from your Dunmari allies you will reunite Terreth by defeating the military junta of Terrethan National Congress and the Terrethan Steppe Warlords.

The team hasn't taken to more-recent versions of FTD, in part because some of the mechanics required to make Cold Seas work were removed. That in turn has heavily discouraged us from working on the project overall. We periodically think about returning and poke around a little but the project has effectively been in a coma/dead for quite a while.

It doesn't work with the CS Mod Current, but old CS mod should still work anyway. It's just balance changes and some trimming done to reduce stress on me. The numbers won't add up in some places but it will work.
If you use Current mod then some guns will be missing.
If you use a post 2.5 version of FTD, though, then all physics and armor will be completely screwed, the spawning systems won't work, and the campaign will be unplayable.

IM sorry if I sound stupid (because I am) but would this work with the current modpack or not? I'm just wondering cause it sounds neato

If someone picks CS up then I'd have no problem with it. If you're planning on continuing the cycle yourself then send a fr and we can try and pass on what else isn't just in the public build.

See the last paragraph. If we were to do anything it'd probably be to just finish this version of the campaign using its version of CS Mod, but at this stage that's unlikely. We basically gave up on updated FTD after a long series of frustrations, and after losing multiplayer in the old builds we collectively decided to pack up and leave.

i would like to report a bug. ever time i try to battle the fob in the people republic the game lags like hell and not all of the stuff spawns in. just thought to tell you.

Klayn and I have returned to FTD, at least for a while, and are working in Current (3.2) on a test campaign to relearn the editors and game mechanics. We may publish that campaign at some point and will probably return to Cold Seas after that.
