SC-3 | Utility Sea VTOL

Description
The Sea Climber 3 (SC-3) is a dual tiltrotor aircraft equipped as a utility vehicle with capabilities in everything from cargo lifting, search and rescue, firefighting and personnel transport. It has a top speed of over 200 knots and a range of almost 300km on just a small amount of fuel and lots of safety features like rotor guards, auto landing if players fall off and anti-collision. Most importantly, it is built for water landings and is well versed in traversing the oceans.

Start-up:

- Go to the cockpit.
- Sit down in the pilot seat.
- On the roof console, turn the key “Power Up Controls”.
- On the front of the center console, flip the two engine switches.
- Wait for the engines to pass over 10 RPS before taking off.
- Retract the landing gear after taking off.

Screens

The screens in front of the pilot seats show airspeed(knots), altitude(meters), heading, vertical speed(knots) and if autopilot or altitude hold I active. The bars on the right show the current pitch, collective, roll and yaw.

The center screen can show either a map, radar, rear view camera or the gimbal camera. You cycle between the screens by pushing the “next” button in the top left corner.

The front center screen on the roof panel shows you any current alarms. You can also mute the alarms.

The two screens on the sides on the roof panel can show either the RPS of the engines, fuel or current calculated range.

Autopilot and other functions

To use the autopilot you input you target coordinates at the keypad on the center console. Then you press the autopilot button on the main console.

The use the altitude hold you input you target altitude at the number pad on the main console. Then you press the altitude hold button on the main console.

The SC-3 has an auto-evasion system that will make the helicopter avoid any obstacles it would be approaching at high speed.

If there haven’t been a player onboard or in the harnesses for over 10 seconds, then the helicopter will get worried and decent to the ground or ocean surface in hopes that you’ll find your way back.

If one engine is damaged or out of sync, you can connect the two engines driveshafts with a button on the center console.

If lifting something to heavy for the SC-3, you can enable the lifting booster with a button on the center console. But beware, this will give the engines more power than the stability is made for, so it’s only for slow vertical lifting, not long flight.

Equipment

The SC-3 has a winch for lifting items with either a small connector, el.connector or mag all’s. The controls for the winch is found on the roof console.

There are 3 radios in the cockpit. One to the right of the pilot, and two to the left of the co-pilot.

There’s one harness in each entrance area. They can either be controlled by the panels on the wall or the hotkeys in the harness.

The controls for the water cannon are to the right of the pilot. Here you can pitch it up or down or change the nozzle to wide spread.

The SC-3 does not spawn with water already in the tank for weight reasons. To fill the water tank you have to land in the water, then flip the “Refill water tank” switch. It will than start to suck water into the water tank

Power and Fuel

To refuel the SC-3 there is a fuel connector on the left side under the wing.

There is an electrical connector on the right side under wing connected straight to the main battery

Behind the cockpit is the controls and gauges for the electricity. You can also switch to reserve battery if the main battery has too low charge to start the engines. The generators will recharge whatever battery you are using at the moment.

Amazing aircraft :steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

It sometimes randomly loses altitude when I have it on standby in the air, Lorgs, could you potentially make a fix so it can hover without a pilot? this problem still occurs when using altitude hold, and it never leaves my render distance

Is it possible that you could sync both harnesses together so when one goes down they both do
but besides that its a wonderful:steamthumbsup: build

i think you should make an automated surveillance drone that will fly around set coordinates or manual control it will provide security, fun and refuel itself when needed

How would you feel about me reuploading a modified version of this creation? It's not particularly substantial but I have tweet the aircraft to my own taste.

@JP.DMG you have to actually land in the water, gently put it down and turn off the engines to get as deep as possible then hit the refill switch, it works
