[HullTec] Nomad Scout Transport (no mods)

Description
A very versatile scout transport with survival support, a turret, cargo capacity and the possibility to take some friend with you.

###UPDATE: SCRIPT IS NOW DEACTIVATED BY DEFAULT###
I deactivated the programmable block, because the SKID STEERING Script is a bit bugged with the current SE version. It works most of the time but if you pull the handbreak, the vehicle will slowly lift off and start spinning around. Also the vehicle tends to fall over when driving curves, if you are not careful.
If you still want to try it, simply activate the programmable block. It will override the wheel's current settings to fit with the script.

If you want to deactivate the script again, do the following:
- deactivate the programable block
- set the group "Main Wheels" to "steering"
- set the steering angle to 13° (a higher angle can make the wheels block each other)
- pro tip: set the angle of wheels 4+5 (left and right side) to 10°

INVENTORY
- ~ 577 Blocks
- ~ 3660 PCU
- ~ Skid Steering Script (tank movement, but it should work without the script, too)

This is probably one of my favorite rovers ever. Its hard to destroy, great speed, nice handling and looks cool. Just a couple minor suggestions, first I would recommend putting a gyro in, these are really useful and should be a staple in rovers. Second redoing the back entrance to the vehicle, this was the only thing to really break for me, the end sticks out and also maybe put a door? Lastly for me I would take out at least the oxygen maker and maybe the oxygen tank. First for space and second not too much use especially since the back isn't pressurized and you use a small amount while driving if your using bottles. Other than those things I love it!

Ok

I don't know, if you can build it with the projector, if you don't have the DLC. I bought the DLCs when they came out so I never tested this. Maybe the industrial cockpit will be missing. But if so, you should be able to replace the missing industrial cockpit with a regular cockpit.

do you need the dlc for this to work

You could try adding a projector and projecting the blueprint over the actual rover. Then the missing wheel should be projected. Try welding it that way, but I don't know for sure, if this works.

Also, try to set the height offset of all wheels to maximum before adding a new wheel. And make sure, the wheel has enough space to be placed.

It might just be me being a noob but I have a problem. Some of the wheels popped while I was driving and I can't place them back. Does anyone know how they are placed on the rover in the first place? The rover is really fun but it will inevitably take damage in survival and I have to be able to fix it.

Testing people's creations to their limits and seeing what they can do is part of the fun for me. The Nomad is by far the best ground based vehicle I have ever had the joy of testing. Stable while turning even at max speed be it on land or ice. handles very well and can take one hell of a beating before coming to is final resting place. I had to take it past its limits as far as terrain to get it to die. Kudos and well done, you should be very proud of this one.
