Aim Assist Improvements [WOTC]

Description
This mod tweaks the Aim Assist settings in a variety of ways. These are my personal settings that I use in my games, and thought I would share with the world. The overall result is 3 things:

1) Removes the invisible x1.2 and x1.1 bonus from Rookie and Veteran difficulties.
2) Soldier-loss mitigation; increased Aim Assist when below full squad, so if a battle goes wrong, you will still lose soldiers in combat, but if you repeatedly lose more soldiers in a single mission, you will be less likely to lose the remaining soldiers for the remainder of that mission - which reduces the frequency of squad wipes.
3) Adds a small amount of Aim Assist to higher difficulties, so they are slightly less difficult and possibly do-able.

What is Aim Assist?
(Spoilers)
XCOM 2 has a built-in feature that "secretly" and dynamically adjusts Hit % based on various factors, such as game difficulty, whether or not you have missed shots consecutively, or lost soldiers during a mission. In other words, the Hit % that you see, is not necessarily what you get.

This feature was put in place by the developers to help protect players against bad luck by giving the player secret bonuses when things are going horribly wrong. In a few situations, it also has the opposite effect of reducing your chances when you have a string of successes.

--- Changes (per difficulty) ---
XCom Base Hit Chance Modifier - This is an automatic bonus granted to all shots by the player.
Rookie --> reduced from x1.2 to x1.0
Veteran --> reduced from x1.1 to x1.0

Miss-Streak Hit% Chance Adjustment - Bonus Hit % granted for each shot missed in a row.
Rookie --> reduced from +10 to 0
Veteran --> reduced from +10 to 0

Hit-Streak Hit Chance Adjustment - Penalty to enemies when they hit XCOM (for 1 turn).
Rookie --> increased from -10 to -20
Veteran --> increased from 0 to -15
Commander --> increased from 0 to -10
Legend --> increased from 0 to -5

If your squad has less than 6 units, your soldiers will have bonus Hit% for each missing unit.
Commander --> increased from 0 to +5
Legend: -- increased from 0 to +5

If your squad has less than 6 units, enemies will suffer a Hit% penalty for each missing XCom unit.
Rookie --> changed from -15 to -10
Commander --> changed from 0 to -10
Legend: -- changed from 0 to -10

This mod may not work if you are already using another mod which modifies Aim Assist.
No class overrides - it is strictly an INI edit mod.

Safe to enable or disable mid-campaign. (If you are in a mission, changes will not take effect until next mission)

You're right, I forgot about that. It is for enemies chance to hit you. So then there's no way to make it so that XCOM has a higher chance to miss after hitting, unless someone comes up with a mod for that.

Sadly "hit streak" is purely for the enemy. It's another help for the player if the AI hits you too often.
When the AI constantly hits (hit streak) they get -5 for each consecutive hit (if you set Hit-Streak Hit Chance Adjustment to -5). But the player isn't affected by this mechanic. You can hit as often as you want without any aim debuff.
The description is "Reduced hit chance for aliens after consecutive hits." aliens, not xcom. Sad, but thanks for the linked thread :) It's generally very insightful.

Yes that is definitely possible. This reddit post covers how to change the "AimAssist" settings.

Set the "Hit Streak" for -5 (so each shot after a hit has -5 and stacking until you miss) and "miss streak" to 5 (so each miss adds +5 until you hit). Keep in mind if you change the settings yourself AND subscribe to this mod, you may get mixed results. Just do 1 or the other (change the default settings yourself, or use this mod and only modify this mod's settings).

Hey, not sure if you still read this stuff or know how it all works, but i have a question to the following.
You wrote "In a few situations, it also has the opposite effect of reducing your chances when you have a string of successes.". Where can i find this please?? I would love to have a +5 buff for every consecutive miss, and a -5 for every consecutive hit. I hate it both when i constantly miss 80+% shots (missed 5 shots in a row that were around 88%...), but i also don't enjoy hitting 5 or 6 50% shots in a row. Both instances make the game either too frustrating or boringly easy.
