The Valentijn is a SAR vessel of the KNRM (RNLI). There are 16 build Valentijn class lifeboats, spread across the Netherlands. The Valentijn was developed as a light weird alternative for the heavier lifeboats, which cannot be launched from the beach. The Valentijn has self-rightening capabilities and has a lot of the same handling characteristics as her bigger sisters.

My version is based on the real-life one, it has most of the real-life one's features and also the dimensions are real. Only some gear placement or the bridge layout is not replicated.

You can just take a seat at the middle seat, turn the power key that is situated on the right of the steering wheel and press w to throttle up. W and S control the throttle lever, which has a positive (forward) dead zone (-0.3 - 0.3) and backward.

  • Self frightening capabilities
  • Backup battery
  • 50km range
  • 42knts top speed
  • Navigation light control screen
  • Map screen
  • Emergency beacon range finder
  • External bilge pump

Switch between the home screen, switches and a map with the arrow buttons in the top right. On home, there are three icons that can be pressed to show a popup with more information. To close these popups press anywhere on the screen.

  • The radio popup only closes when pressed on the right side, sometimes it also needs two or more presses
  • The self-rightening can sometimes take up to 60 seconds before fully rightened

Fixed the battery drain

also, fixed loads of stability issues. changed some settings and moved some intakes around so it doesn't make a backflip

and fixed some issue's with the throttle going up and down on low speeds

Sure! I'm still a beginner with Lua but I can tinker around with it to implement it to a ship I'm building, if that's fine for you

Amazing build! I was wondering if you were planning to release the central control screen, it's a really good all-in-one control center so it might be useful for a build I'm doing
