Naofumi Iwatani

Description
New Holy Hero Loadout out now!!!

- Raphtalia still requires casting animation
- Filo still needs all animations
- Should still be fully playable

You play as the Shield Hero, Naofumi, who can only defend and not use other weapons. Instead, he relies on others to attack. You will have to adapt to learn to keep you and your allies alive and progressing efficiently.

- Hint: Frost and Poison builds are recommended as they aren't affected by Naofumi's decreased spell power.

Filo is flat invisible and Raphtalia can't decide whether she wants to be invisible or not. I get the feeling this isn't intended.

FYI I just noticed that the dash animations for Filo and Raphtalia broke somehow, so I'm going to go ahead and fix those soon. Hang tight!

@Marlfox I agree, hyped for season 2! I'll be leaving on a 2 year mission in about 30 days though so I won't be able to work on the mod. If anyone would like to use any part of the mod, or add to it, they're more than welcome to, as long as Stephan Reiken and I are properly credited.

Hopefully this mod is still alive. There's not near enough love for Naofumi and the gang out there and with season 2 and 3 on the way, I need this mod in my life. lmao

There isn't currently a way to revive them but Naofumi gets angry when they die, permanently if both die. Going into rage puts your run on a timer though as you start losing max hp.

I tried a run and I had so much fun with this character, but when both raphtalia and filo died, do they stay dead? it made my run so much harder. there should be a way of reviving them for money at the shop, other than that I absolutely adore playing with this mod!

@Stephan Reikan I love all of those ideas! I'm definitely down to work with you because as it is this character is just a Reva reskin which is kinda bland and it is totally possible to make a legit Naofumi. I'll PM to figure out how to share files etc.

I would love to help you and/or code the mod for you, I can already imagine just how close to Naofumi we can get. There are some limits to what we could do, but right now I can see a Naofumi with 100 defense and -1000 spellpower. Raphtalia or Filo as a pet that attacks every two seconds, and a skill based on Violette giving him options to heal, and add shielding to him and his pets or summon a temporary structure that will be his Air Strike Shield. Regardless of settings, I dont think we can get rid of elemental damage, so playing as Naofumi you'd go for Frost, Fire, and Poison to win. It would be interesting to see just hoe far this load out could go

We could go with a couple different loadouts, if you would like to work with me, let me know!
