Description
SeaBoss Systems SPARROW Mk.II Scout Helicopter

Newest version of the SPARROW Light Scout Helicopter.

Updates include...
- Revamped Interior and Controls to allow for more outward visibility and access to flight information
- Dual-mode Radio (Single, Two Way)
- Retooled Engine Controller - New Throttle Mode controller replaces Throttle Quadrant - 3 Choices for Modes - GND (Ground Idle), FLT (Flight Mode) and OVR (Overdrive)
- Restyled exterior taking advantage of the new blocks
- Rotor Brake
- Heater (controlled to maintain temperature of 20'C when turned on)
- Emergency Beacon Locator with alert silencer and Signal Strength Indicator
- Winch with MAG ALL

VEHICLE FEATURES:
- Range of ~200km in FLT Mode, ~130km in OVR Mode at speed of 55-60 knots (Absolute Linear)
- Top speed of 66 knots (Absolute Linear) in OVR mode with sustained altitude
- Throttle Modes (displayed in HUD):
1. GND (Ground Idle) - Useful when landed/starting to provide adequate RPS to the generators to charge batteries and start spin of rotors from stop;
2. FLT (Flight Mode) - RPS set in order to provide lift forces for Collective, can be used for all Flight Operations, power is particularly well set for precision flying;
3. OVR (Overdrive) - Provides additional RPS at cost of more fuel for higher Speed runs with altitudes that are easier to maintain.
- Rotor Brake - When the rotors are disengaged from the engine the Rotor Brake can be pushed to bring the spinning blades to a complete stop. This is done by engaging a reverse gearbox in parallel to the main drive shaft that provides a proportional negative force to stop the blades. NOTE: does not effect the engine RPS as the Rotor Brake can only be used when the Rotor Shaft is disengaged from the Engine (button located in bottom centre console)
- 6 Seats - Two Internal (PILOT, OBSERVER), Four External (Jump Seats)
- Medium Engine with Large Fuel Tank

CONTROLS:
W/S - Pitch
A/D - Roll
LEFT/RIGHT - Yaw
UP/DOWN - Collective
BUTTON 1 - Cycle UP Throttle Mode: GND->FLT->OVR
BUTTON 2 - Cycle Down Throttle Mode: OVR->FLT->GND
BUTTON 6 - GYRO Stabilizer - TOGGLE ON/OFF

GETTING IN TO THE AIR...
From Pilot's Chair
1. By Default the MAIN BREAKER will be on. If it is not the breaker block can be found between the PILOT and OBSERVER on the wall.
2. Turn the Key in the Upper Panel in order to activate the Engine. The Diesel Engine will begin to spool up.
3. Click on the ENGAGE ROTORS button in the lower centre console. The Rotors will now start to turn.
4. Hit Button 1 to cycle the THROTTLE MODE from GND to FLT (displayed in small HUD).
5. Fly!

SHUT DOWN:
From Pilot's Chair
1. When landed cycle the THROTTLE MODE down until it indicates GND in the small HUD.
2. Click on the ENGAGE ROTOR button to toggle it off and disconnect the rotor from the engine, OPTIONAL: click on the ROTOR Brake button to bring the spinning blades to a stop.
3. Turn the key in the ceiling to shut down the Engine.
4. Turn off the MAIN BREAKER to reduce battery usage.

As a heads up, if you turn on Display Throttle Percentage, you get an error on the screen. Is there something I need to change in the LUA code to display the throttle percentage as well?

This is an exceptional light helicopter and very straightforward to use.
