It is troll worthy of WC to do this with the trip wire.
In order to simplify things, its easier to just swap in this item to replace the official one, and so the wording remains the same - which is unfortunate. You being ignorant of the hows and whys is not anyone elses problem but your own.

Instead of a bear trap you could do something placeable like a torpor bear trap? snaps on them and adds a bit oh torpor xD or even torpor bolas it adds a small amount of torpor as it holds them? idk if any of that is possible or if you even wanna do it but ideas if you are willing to :p
No idea what to change with bear trap. Realistically, if you made a proper bear trap for dinos, they'd be stuck forever...obviously way too OP. Probably going to leave them alone.

@TheMystic6 Ya. Almost all explosives in the game are garbage for PVE. I'm sorry, but an IED would still wreck a bears face. They're definitely going in the mod.
