The Sands of Time

Description
The Sands of Time is a map created by Neil Munday in 1996. It features a maze-like design when you are hunting for the 3 keycards required to progress in the level. It may not be the prettiest map or actual great gameplay but this was one of the first usermaps I ever played as a kid and I think it was included in many shovelware cds. There is also a custom music track from Metroid Fusion called Prologue 2.

Original author: Neil Munday (Punisher)

It can be particularly confusing to find the keycards so watch the YouTube video that is included if you do get lost.

I don't claim ownership of the map, I couldn't find any information on the author and apparently a second map (called Sand3.map) was created by a different author and used this one as a base but it was barely different.

If you make a video of any of the user maps I have uploaded, simply put it into the comments and I'll add it to the corresponding workshop page as I kind of want to have up to two videos on each item :)

A classic style map. The hardest thing for me was finding one of the two secrets of the level, but was still fun to explore. Recommended!

Note:

There are 4 Ammo for Shrinker on this map, but no Shrinker weapon.
I believe, the author forgot put on this map the Shrinker weapon.

So I must of gotten really lucky based on the comments. I found all necessary keys without really searching. Beat the map in about 20 minutes or so and found half the secrets as well. I must admit, the extra pathways and doorways were not really needed, but it did make the map feel vast.

Strong map, if confusing due to maze-like structure.

Great map, had me going in circles a few times but felt so satisfied once I found the exit.
