Inspired by the Okinawa class from the Starfleet Command video game.

Play tested on a veteran difficulty galaxy. Fleet commands have received a lot of improvements on the beta branch, so I wanted to try playing with a squadron of small craft, as opposed to operating one massive main.

I discovered the early game went much faster with the squadron strategy. The enemy AI tended to split its fire between targets, which increased the survival of my ships over subsequent waves of pirates and Xsotan incursion. Multiple ships also meant I could immediately put more turrets into play, instead of waiting until the RNG gave me a few good turret modules.
