Description
Welcome to Two Peaks! This is a 100% vanilla map set in a river valley. The map features lots of build space with a hilly/mountainous backdrop.

----- GAMEPLAY -----

Since this is a vanilla map, all resources are within reach. Building on this map should be easy, terrain is mostly flat but the rivers and hills break up the monotony.
A custom vanilla dam gives you all you need to start your town, with more than 100MW of power, 3 water pumps and 3 sewage outlets! It is connected to the main network because it produces some waste, so if you can't find some of your garbage trucks they're probably on their way to the dam. I got inspiration for this one from the Isola Serafini Dam in northern Italy.

3 Road Connections
4 Rail Connections
2 Ship Connections
2 Plane Connections

----- DETAILING -----

Since this was meant for the vanilla player, places that can't be seen from the main tiles are underdatailed and with few trees. This way the central area can have denser forests without passing tree limit.
I had a lot of fun using vanilla assets in many different ways to make the place look prettier, let's see if you can identify all of them!
You can use your favourite theme, LUT or mods to change the environment to your liking, but that's not necessary.

----- TERRAIN -----

Most of the map is handmade. The bases for the 3 ridges come from various places around the Alps but they have been changed quite heavily to suit the places better, especially the main peaks.

Thanks for the water level info. My cims are busy buying life-jackets anyway because, well, you know....it's me.

Thank you! This type of dam doesn't hold too much water, so the risk of drowning a city is low. However, with a meteorite in the right place everything is possible!

I'm subscribing thanks, because it looks great AND there's a dam already successfully built. Maybe my cims won't drown this time.

Thank you so much! There's a water source right after the outlets that should suck some of the sewage when the town is small, for a bigger town with more money yours is a good solution!

This map is awesome! Thanks for creating it.

I do have one recommendation if you ever make a map like this again - I think this map would be better without the damn providing sewer treatment. I really wanted to replace the outlets with lower pollution options from the Green Cities DLC. I have to either buy the tiles up to the dam or completely disconnect the pipe from the damn (what I did).

For anyone reading this: this is an unbelievably small complaint. The map is amazing. It is spectacular looking. So good that I really wanted my waterfront to do it justice and not have polluted water. Having the water/sewer provided by the damn is great early game. By the time your city is large enough to really pollute the river you have the resources to simply cut the supply to/from the damn.

Oh boy, I don't even know what's in the game ahah that's a good solution, I'm glad you're having fun with my map!

Hey @Random5. I don't have disasters either! This was just a rain storm!

I couldn't buy the tile because I hadn't unlocked that many tiles yet. And 81 Tiles mod wasn't working for me. But I found a workaround! I used the MoveIt! mod to move a wind turbine in between the power lines. :)

Thanks for the great map!

Oh, that's unfortunate. I don't have the Natural Disasters DLC so I didn't even think about that possibility... At least it's all in the inner tiles so you can always buy the tile you need even in vanilla

Things were going swimmingly until a lightning strike took out a power line outside of the city limits. :/
